CERTIFICATE OF ANALYSIS (COA)

Certificate of Analysis has FOUR(4) key manufacturing specifications. Each specification has upper and lower limits-“Range variations” , upper limits favoring the customer because less plymer is used. It costs more to manufacture. Customer should demand small percentage variation between upper and lower limits, say =<15%.

Lower limits favor the vendor, using more polymer but costing less to manufacture. Vendors prefer wide open range for Upper and Lower limits because it is easier to manufacture.

Test Points (4)

• Viscosity(can be bulk, UL, Intrinsic, standard viscosity)
• Dry Weight, Non Volatile Solids, Percentage active solids or Active substance.
• Residual Acrylamide(unreacted toxic chemical)
• Appearance (color, physical appearance)
